Wasn't expecting WIU to lose that bad. Got killed on the boards. Creighton shot over 50% for the game. Creighton shot 27 free throws to just 6 for WIU

So no 6-0....oh well. Still, I think that 9-2 for out of conference games is entirely do-able. I think the Iowa game will be very tough, but all the rest are entirely winnable.

Creighton won 97-67. Creighton was ahead at the half 44-31.

Western's top scorers were Garret Covington with 14 and Jalen Chapman with 13.

Western shot 45% (27 of 60).

Western was out-rebounded 29 to 47.

Attendance at Creighton was 16,118.

I was not shocked by this result and did not watch the game and think we played all that bad. Creighton was just far too big.

I think 8-3 is the most realistic goal I don't see us beating Loyola at Loyola they are a really good team.

At Chicago State will be tough (ask U of I about them) but I think we can beat them if we play well.

Saw another Big East team (Xavier) dismantle Dayton tonight. Incredible display of quickness and athleticism. Hard to compete with that. No chance if you are in a run and gun game against them.
