I saw a tweet video a while back from our mens hoops team doing their power cleans. Not impressed. If I drop weights like they were doing at my gym, I get kicked out of gym.
True, although it did seem like we got better vs 2014. Fewer 4th quarter letdowns, and compare how many EIU players were dropping due to the heat vs our players in the first game.
That could have been more poor hydration on their part than great conditioning on our part.

Coach Fisher just called me and we talked for about 45 minutes about a lot of things regarding Leatherneck football. He's already hired 3 offensive coaches (sorry I can't give names), one is coming from Richmond, one has coached here in the past prior to Nielson and one other that he's keeping under wraps. He has his OC narrowed down to a couple of candidates and both are ready to be Leathernecks.

He will be in Texas this week to interview defensive coaches after attending tomorrow's press conference and going through all the HR stuff. He is bringing a bag of clothes to hit the road and secure this recruiting class and his newly hired offensive assistants will be on campus sometime tomorrow to hit the road as well. No grass will be growing under his feet!

Coach Fisher is very excited to be part of Leatherneck football and he will do what ever it takes for us to be successful!!

We got the right guy!!

Wow, Leatherneck57, did you know him prior to his public presentation on campus? It is unique that a new coach would call and talk to someone they only briefly met at a open forum and talk for 45 minutes, and share this much information. Maybe I missed an earlier post where you mentioned you knew him, because you do seem to have some special insights.

I guess that is the power of social media in the coaching world. All prospective coaches need an advance scout. LOL

If he is meeting coaches in texas hopefully that means they have ties in that part of the country and they will be able to get some great recruits from that area.

Actually met him for the first time before the forum. At the conclusion I spoke with him in length about Leatherneck football and what's happening with the football alumni. We exchanged numbers in case he was offered the job. When he accepted the job I texted him on behalf of the football alumni and congratulated him on becoming a Leatherneck. I guess being a former player has it's benefits!

Oh...I almost forgot to mention that I just donated about $8000 worth of interactive equipment for the football office so the coaches can do their jobs better during film sessions, meetings etc. and I will be training the entire staff when the installation is completed.

I can drop of this site if you don't find my information valuable or if you feel it lacks truth but I think most will find what I offer is better than most.
