Here's information on the 3rd assistant:
DOUG MALONE
Doug enters his first season with the Lions and brings a notable coaching resume to the club after serving as the offensive line coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2013 and 2014 as well as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2012 and 2011.
Last season, Malone’s work with the Green and White helped running back Anthony Allen notch 930 rushing yards, second to only Calgary’s Jon Cornish and the third-highest team total with 2,380 yards along the ground. Doug’s move to BC also reunites him with offensive coordinator George Cortez with whom he won the Grey Cup with in 2013. That same year, Malone’s offensive line cleared the way for quarterback Darian Durant who threw for 4,154 yards and running back Korey Sheets who piled-up 1,598 rushing yards as well as a Grey Cup MVP award.
Prior to his time in the CFL, Malone spent three seasons as offensive coordinator at Presbyterian College (’08-’10) as well as one season as the school’s interim head coach. His time at Presbyterian was preceded by one season as the offensive coordinator at Western Carolina (2007).
Malone’s first taste of the Canadian Football League came in 2010 when he was a guest coach of the Calgary Stampeders during training camp.
A native of Greenville, Tennessee, Malone’s decorated NCAA coaching career includes an impressive 13-year stint at Wingate University (1986-98) the final five of which were as head coach. Other stops include Tennessee Tech (‘99-‘06) and Cal State-Northridge (’83-’85).
Malone holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health from Carson-Newman College and a master’s degree in sports sciences from the United States Sports Academy. He and his wife Jenny, have two daughters, Megan and Molly and one son, Derek. They also have two granddaughters, Kenry and Ruthie.

WIU Official Announcement
I don't think anyone will question Coach Fisher's ability to coach when they read below...
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time in the past month, a member of the University of Richmond football family was handed the reigns to their own program.
Charlie Fisher, the offensive coordinator for the Spiders this past season, was officially introduced as the Head Coach of the Western Illinois Leathernecks today.
“We’re really excited for Coach Fisher. This is a great opportunity for Charlie to be able to be a head coach again in a very prominent league, like the Missouri Valley, and at a prominent program like Western Illinois,” Richmond Head Coach Danny Rocco said. “He did an outstanding job for us at the University of Richmond in both positions he held during his time here. He will certainly be missed. I think this hire by Western Illinois is a very positive reflection of our program and we wish him nothing but the best and continued success.”
Fisher joins former Richmond quarterback Will Healy as the second member of the Richmond family to be named a head coach in the past month. Healy was named Head Coach at Austin Peay on Dec. 23.
In all, Fisher spent two seasons with the Spiders, serving as the Wide Receivers Coach during the 2014 campaign. During his time at Richmond, the Spiders went 19-9 and reached at least the second round of the playoffs in both seasons.
With Fisher at the helm of the offense this past year, Richmond ranked 19th nationally in total offense (451.9 yards per game) and 23rd in scoring (33 ppg). In addition, first-year starting quarterback Kyle Lauletta threw for the second-most passing yards in school history this past season.
The Spiders scored 37 or more points in half of their 14 games, including wins at James Madison (59-49) as part of the ESPN College GameDay event and at Illinois State (39-27) in the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs.
During the 2014 season, the Spiders ranked eighth in the country in passing offense, and were second in conversions on third down and fourth down.
During that year, he helped Richmond have the first pair of 1,000-yard wide receivers in program history. Reggie Diggs had 85 receptions for 1,157 yards and seven touchdowns, while Brian Brown totaled 79 catches for 1,089 yards and four scores. For their efforts, Diggs was named Second-Team All-CAA, while Brown was named third-team all-conference.
In total, eight offensive players earned All-Colonial Athletic Association honors and three earned All-American accolades under Fisher’s supervision.

My guess would be that malone serves as OC reading his bio from when he was @ Presbyterian it stated he served as an assistant AD to marketing and sales when he was @ tennessee tech which is great to have someone with those traits on the team someone who should be able to reach all the fans rather there alumni students or macomb residents.

Presbyterian transitioned to DI in 2007. I cannot even imagine how tough it is to play DI football with an enrollment of about 1K. On the other hand, 1/3 of their students participate in athletics. That might be a little advantage as student-athletes generally support each other pretty well.
Embrace the pace of the race.
