He was suspended for 4 games last year for violating team rules. Some of our TE’s are hybrid Fullbacks as well.
He never really fit in when he quit when Coach Fisher was first hired then asked to come back which they allowed. The 7 games he played in was on Special Teams.
Very talented DB/LB Hybrid guy transferring in this year.

Originally out of Clearwater Central Catholic HS in Clearwater, FL, Demetri played last season for Charleston Southern (Big South) in 9 games. Recorded 77 tackles (8.5/game) and was the team's #2 tackler last season. He also recorded 1 forced fumble and 1 tackle for loss. http://www.csusports.com/sports/fball/2 ... metri_sjkj
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe he will sit out the 2018 season and be able to play in 2019 with 3 years of eligibility.

He's already red shirted 2 yrs so not sure if he can sit out another year without losing one year of eligibility.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure on what his status is. One source said he was redshirting next year, but if CSU's site is correct and he redshirted then received a medical redshirt, and then played last year, then he can't redshirt again.
He can lose a year of eligibility and play two years, unless he's actually finished his bachelor's degree, in which case he can do a grad transfer and not sit out a year. I suppose with two full years of school, plus possibly two years of summer classes, it could be possible....hard...but possible.

Whenever for however long he's eligible he looks like a really nice land. Wonder what factors led to him transferring.

Agreed, looks like a similar style to Brett Taylor. Quick, good nose for the ball, good tackler. Not saying he is going to be as good as Brett is (although that's not out of the realm of possibility), but he does look like a real quality addition to the team.

I dont see him playing LB at only 195#. If a DB is getting lots of tackles, he is getting picked on. Although if he is a safety, then it little more understandable.

Technically a DB, but also listed as kinda a "hybrid LB". I was watching some of his highlights and he usually plays a ways back like a DB, but there were definitely a few times they had him in more of a LB position.

He will have 3 years of eligibility left after sitting out this year and is being brought in to take over Riggs Baxter’s position. He drops off into coverage a lot.
