(they sold out all games in less than an hour). I have not given up yet, but unless we or they fall well short of expectations this year, I do not like my chances. Unless of course some Macombie Homie wants to do a good deed and put in a bid for me at that Purple and Gold Gala Auction coming up in a couple weeks. HINT HINT
Did you try getting thru your ticket office out of the team allotment
Also keep looking I bet you will find a ticket, heck come to bisonville and ask lots of our fans like to accommodate other teams.
I will definitely try Bisonville before throwing in the towel. There are some out there on StubHub as well that are within striking distance. Regarding team allotment tickets, that is a possibility but there is always a lot of juggling going on there. One kid wants to bring his immediate family and everyone else down to 3rd cousins so he gets tickets from other kids with no family making the trip. When all of that juggling is done, there might be a few tickets left over. I do think our AD should have some well-publicized policy regarding distribution of team allotment tickets to away games. If that exists, I have not seen it anywhere. How tough is it to put a little section on the main athletic web site which tells the world something like:
We have X tickets still available for the game in Y. Contact
A@B.com if you would like to be placed on the ticket priority waiting list.
If X is 0, well that is life.
Another strategy I have used to get into a "sold out" game is to hang out very close to the Player Pass/Will Call door. Bug the attendant there to let them know you are interested. Once the game starts (nobody shows up late to a big sold out game), if any of those tickets are untaken, there is a good chance you will get in the door and get a very good seat to boot.
