I wonder if there is a universal signal between head coaches which means game over - let's give our second and third squads some reps.

Man, just came in from working outside. Gee, what a waste of travel money to ND. Should have just stayed home.

You might have something there Tere. Smart coach from here forward will be telling his kids "You have to earn those 737 rides".

Going way back to Coastal game, I am walking back to my truck after it was over. I was telling myself no way can Nikko continue to grind out those "hard" yards like he did that night. Sooner or later, it would take its toll. Folks, that time is here.

So, any former coaches, players, or football parents want to chime in....what does the coach tell his team in the locker room after a game like today?

This time he should say it's on him. I didn't prepare you enough

It was all the same stuff. You say QB is playing worst the last two weeks, kinda related to horrible blocking. Zero time. Plus keep teams out of the end zone, they don't win

that is what he said on the radio after the game. I have this belief (maybe mistaken) that a team's defensive weakness(es) will be reflected by that same team's offenses weakness(es). What I am trying to say that if you can't run the ball well, your defense will not be able to stop the run very well either. Why? Because you do not get challenged in practice, assuming that offense and defense do go at during the week. Similarly, if you don't rush the quarterback well, good luck protecting your own quarterback. I could go on and on. Never use anything but side line routes, good luck defending passes over the middle. Yea, basically we suck up front.

Well for those that are still talking playoffs please stop talking, that ship has sailed. What we should be talking about is HOW do we get Coach Entz (ND State) to become our Head Coach. This experiment with the D2 guy is over. Al Golden at Miami got fired a few weeks ago after his team got beat about this bad and his record was much better than this staffs 3 year record. This game should have been our Super Bowl, with much better result.

Not much to cheer about here.

They had 29 first downs. We had 9.
They had 528 total yards. We had 205 with only 33 yards rushing.
They had the ball for 43:47. We had it for 16:13.

Attendance was 18,251.
