2,832? well shoot. If we're not going to give accurate counts, which seems to be the case this season and last. Then I advocate we go back to the VanAlstein method.

I just emailed the AD I'm so pissed there's no chance in hell that there were only 50 more fans than the NDSU game.

Very disappointing that we are a 4 yr university and we don't have anyone in the athletics department who can even come up with a close to an accurate #.

That's crazy, I would have guessed at least 4k. Honestly, it looked about as full as Homecoming was, which was "listed" at ~4.5k.
Still disappointing, but that would have been closer to what it looked like.

If we're going "Van Alstine numbers" though, that was a nice crowd of ~9.5k there.

It the count is actual paid attendance, it could very well be correct as students get in free. Side note: there were several regionally close high schools in playoff games today. Carthage, Hamilton, Monmouth-Roseville, Knoxville, Camp Point, Lewistown, Farmington, just to name a few.

Today was a football double-header in Monmouth.

At 1PM, Monmouth College beat Lake Forest 30-3 in a battle for the top position in the Midwest Conference South division. Today's win gives Monmouth the MWC South division title.

Then at 5PM, Monmouth-Roseville beat Wilmington 14-10 in a Class 3A first-round playoff game.

Coach Patterson and his wife were at today's game.

Glad to see Coach Patterson was at the game, they posted a video of him addressing the team after the game. I know he does some work for Kansas St and I believe he attends most if not every Iowa home game. So he is definitely still involved in the game of college football.
