Yea, in my article, I tried to predict the games and actually, the biggest margin of any of them was us over Missouri State...I had us over them by 7 points. Most of the games, I think, could literally be a 50/50 tossup. NDSU should have a pretty good advantage over SDSU, but the Jackrabbits have just the right combination of skills to be able to do really well against the Bison, and it's a big rivalry game, so you can kinda throw ranking out the window.meganeck wrote:some good MVC games this week

Yeah, I think NDSU wins, but still interested to see how the game plays out. SDSU should have a good shotST_Lawson wrote:Yea, in my article, I tried to predict the games and actually, the biggest margin of any of them was us over Missouri State...I had us over them by 7 points. SDSU and NDSU facing off in the "Dakota Marker" game. Rather interesting history about those 720 quartzite markers which divided the two Dakota states. About half of the markers are now gone. I would be willing to bet that at least one marker can be found in some frat house on the campuses. Who knows. Maybe the geology departments might also have one.

Conference stats ranking thru Week 7. What I am worried about this year is that the current top 3 teams in this ranking are the only teams getting into playoffs. Everyone else beats up on each other essentially eliminating more playoff qualifiers. Necks need to make a statement next week against Bison that they belong in the upper echelon of the conference. Beating out teams from other conferences with equal or better records like we did last year not likely to happen two years in a row IMO.
Embrace the pace of the race.
