Brandon and whoever else is manning the paint will be tested today. I watched their last game against Fort Wayne. They can hit pretty well from the perimeter and their big boys are just that, big AND PHYSICAL. Not big scorers though so I am not sure I would go with the doubleteaming down low to help out Brandon that has worked well recently. Gut tells me if you that, their other shooters will pick you apart. We have to shoot the ball well to stay in this one. Have to protect the home court or we will not playing on that Sioux Falls away court this year.
The 'Dons had a rough trip to the Dakotas. Who doesn't? I just looked at the standings. I think we are one game from being tied for second and one game from being tied for last. Should be an interesting ride ahead.
North Dakota State shot 56.2% (32-57) from the field and 81.3% (13-16) on three-point attempts.
Western shot 37.9% (22-58) from the floor and 34.8% (8-23) on three-point attempts.
Garret Covington led the Western scoring with 17 points. Mike Miklusak had 15.
Attendance at Western Hall = 883. That has to be considered a very disappointing crowd number. We may want to re-think the seating at Western Hall. The center sections on both sides of the court are not filled while the students and G.A. seating are now relegated to the 4 corners and behind the baskets.
Western will play next Wednesday at South Dakota. Game time is 7PM.
Current Summit League Standings: Conf / All

I think you are right about the seating, 712. Until such time as we start drawing at least 1.5 to 2K on a regular basis, there should be open seating for all. Whoever shows up first, gets the best seats. I was watching the SDSU@IUPUI game earlier this week. They had mostly empty seats along the sides and students were relegated to bleacher seats 15 to 20 yards behind a basket. That is sad. For any kind of home court advantage, people need to be as close to the court and players as possible. If you want a nice comfy chair to sit in with a great view, show up early. I know it will not go over well with those who paid a premium for the seats, but that is life. It is not always fair. If we don't establish some sort of home court energy going forward, this season is all but over IMO.
I have always found it laughable at the reserved seating. They are never ever ever full and most sit on their hands all game. Students (when they show up) should have the best seats in the place.
