KHQA Sports reported tonight that Western's Men's Golf Coach Mel Blasi has resigned. He will be the Head Coach for Men's Golf at Central College (Pella, Iowa).
Coach Blasi played golf under legendary Western coach Harry Mussatto 1984-1987. He was Head Coach at Western 1988-1990 and 2000-2018.

Wow. He just moved back into Georgetown. I knew he'd been looking a upward moves, but this is definitely a step in a different direction. And Mel has confirmed it on FaceBook. Sounds like Central, although D3, has an excellent golf program.
