My View
Ok...so....bad news, despite the fact that Brett Taylor is still wearing purple and gold, it is no longer for us. Good news...Brett and Adam Brott are the only two LBs from last year who will not be back this year. Quentin Moon was a team captain and honorable mention All-MVFC player last year, so I see him stepping up as the "leader" of the LBs now in his final season. I also think we'll see a much more prominent role for Senior Pete Swenson, who's 6.5 sacks for 38 negative yards was second only to Khalen Saunders last year. Fellow Senior Riggs Baxter and Sophomore Tre Hendon also got on the field a decent amount in 2017, so I think we'll see their stats step up a bit this year as well. FBS Transfer Derriyon Shaw was on the Boise State squad last year, although didn't get on the field for them. Shaw was a 3-star recruit and one of the top LBs out of the state of Nevada in HS. JUCU Transfer Jalen Powe had 44 tackles, 4 INTs, and a forced fumble in 10 games last season with the College of DuPage (http://www.njcaa.org/sports/fball/2017- ... enpowe43jy) and is listed as a Junior for us this season, so I'm sure we'll see him contribute too.
