A little mention of game time would not have hurt matters too much. For those that care, it is 4:30pm Central. I will be watching in the theater room of my man cave.

Western won the game 75-61.

Olivia Kaufmann led the Western scoring with 21 points. Danni Nichols had 18. Evan Zars had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Attendance at Western Hall = 604.

Next game will be on Friday (Jan 24) at Omaha. Game time is 7:00 PM.

ORU was without arguably their best player (Maya Mayberry). Not sure what her status is. They also had two freshman twin sisters (Gore) leave at the end of last semester and transfer to a D2 Oklahoma school. They are not the ORU of yesteryear for sure.

Mayberry hasn’t been on the roster all year not sure why the sisters left they were getting a decent amount of action.

Was Maya's father and assistant coach Lee on the bench yesterday? If not, that could be a clue.

My guess is redshirt. Another Mayberry daughter is apparently graduating from HS this year so maybe they wanted to give the two Mayberry girls a couple of years together on the court. Would not be the first time I have seen a really good player sit out or be held back a year in school with hopes of being surrounded by a better cast of players.

The Oral Roberts Women's Roster has 5 seniors, 3 juniors, 0 sophomores, and 3 freshmen.

I think that Asst Coach Lee Mayberry was at the game.
