Associate HC Chad Boudreau was previously the HC at Highland CC in Freeport, IL. So it looks like that'll really help the team dynamic with all the former HCC players we've brought in. Boudreau also worked under Coach Jeter at Milwaukee.
Assistant Coach Kyle Heikkinen was previously on Coach Boudreau's staff at HCC.
Assistant Coach Nick Irvin was previously the HC at Morgan Park HS where he had a 301-70 record over 12 seasons, which should help quite a bit on the Chicago-area recruiting front.

HS coaches present a double-edged sword.
Yes, they can help in recruiting, but, can they make the transition to the college game?

I think that's the nice thing about him not being the HC. He's obviously had a great deal of success at the HS level and is a great motivator, but now he'll get a chance to work for and learn from an experienced DI college coach. He can help with recruiting the Chicago area, and it seems like he has the personality to really connect with the kids, but it's not all "on him". Coach Jeter will be calling the shots at this point, so he can utilize Coach Irvin's skills that he already does well, and help bring him up to the DI college level if there's any areas that need work.Tere North wrote: Fri May 15, 2020 8:31 am HS coaches present a double-edged sword.
