How often doe your local newspaper cover Western Illinois? In Evansville the newspaper very little of Southern Indiana and Evansville mostly covers Indiana and Purdue sports.
The local newspaper (Community News Brief) only publishes on Tuesdays and Fridays.
They do have a local sports reporter who covers the 3 high schools in the county.
There is not a reporter for Western athletics. They often times will print the write-up's of the Western games that are published on the Athletics website.

Very few "local" newspapers are locally owned anymore. We used to have the Macomb Journal that published both high school and college sports, but over time it has changed hands enough that there is not a lot of Macomb news anymore. Also, the went from publishing every day to (last I remember) 4 days a week - no Monday, no weekends. By Tuesday all the "news" was old anyway. Just my 2 cents worth.
