I stumbled upon this today. No subscription fee but donations accepted it looks like. Decent amount of WIU sports coverage on first impression. Might be sucking in other open source content and rewording it a little bit with the magic of AI, we shall see. Gannett, dont come knocking in my life ever again. You destroyed the Des Moines Register which was one of the best national papers in the country when I was growing up and quite a few other local newspapers.

Looks like it. But this is a new venture spearheaded by https://www.metricmedia.org/ . They have many communities onlline now. Trying to make community members be the source and editors of their own local newspapers.
