I am down in Orlando for the Orlando Classic right now. I was very impressed with how well Kansas travels. It was like 10-1 in favor of Kansas when they were playing Tennessee although UT made it a very good game to watch. I got to wondering just who might be the best fan base in basketball. Sure enough, someone has done some semi-legit analysis. There are some teams we are familiar with on the list of best and worst:

KU basketball fans are rabid. Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence is sold out for every game...

Kansas does not fare so well in this ranking simply because they win all of the time. This research is geared more to determining what fans are going to show up and spend dollars when the team is having an off year every now and then. But I do agree on the rabidness of KU fans. It was my fourth year down there, and they are head and shoulders above anyone else I have seen. They even brought their cheerleaders on the trip (only team to do that this year). Not there this year, but I have to say Gonzaga also travels very well for a mid-major.BobLovely wrote:KU basketball fans are rabid. Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence is sold out for every game...
