Another tough road matchup today starting at Noon CT. As a coach going into a game like this, what do you tell the kids? Play in your roles? Stick to our identity? If I am in northeast Ohio, I know what I tell them: Play tough, have some fun on the court 'cause after the game we are going to Mr. Hero for a Romanburger! When I was working in the DC/VA suburbs, we had a franchise right across the street. They have since closed a lot of franchises outside of Ohio. Darn shame because that Romanburger is the tastiest fast food sandwich on the planet and definitely worth copying:

So glad we have something other than pro football to watch (ESPN3) on this Sunday:

So far, so good. I'll be happy with a close game.

If we handle the pressure we should make a game of it. Take in steps. Get it across half court and then set up the offense. Don't force it.

I don't know what you guys are watching but these guys cannot run this motion offense. It's like too complicated for them. Dribbling into too many double teams, traveling too much, making bad passes, scared to go up strong in the paint, and how in the hell is hard to break a press.

15 Turnovers and 0 free throws in the 1st half? Seriously.

If I was Coach Wright I'll be so mad I wouldn't speak to the guys. That embarrassing.

I hope he make these guys run during the break. Suicides for every TO.

Coach Wright and the staff need to scrape their original plan and simplify everything.

It does not look like we have practiced against an aggressive double-team style defense. I will be surprised if they stick with that defense in second half. Maybe we can keep it respectable.

Another slow start, similar to the William & Mary and Akron games.
Halftime score is 44-21.
Cleveland State shot 15 free throws (made 14). Western shot 0 free throws.
