Whether on http://espnpeoria.com or 96.5FM on your radio dial, y'all be there or be square.
Matt, make sure you take a thumb drive with the Leatherneck Logo on it (we have settled on one, right?) so they can add it to their scrolling banner. The three college logos they have right now look lonely and like they could use another friend. Get that done and no doubt in my mind, you are the right person for this job. ;)

Interesting interview.

He mentioned that renovations were underway at the soccer field as well as at Hanson Field.

Does anyone know what is being done with the soccer field ???

ST, if that fails, we could always turn a lemon into a little lemonade.

I thought someone mentioned they were running new field tile under it to help drainage. It needs to be completely re-done and start from scratch, but with no money that will not happen for long time.

Do any of you locals know how close the Lamoine River gets to the soccer field when it overflows it banks?

I am not local, but the difference in elevation is pretty great from that river I would not imagine it even gets close to the field.

Not close. I'd have to get crazy high to get to the soccer field (including flooding out all of DPS, the Physical Plant, and Wigwam Hollow Road all the way up to University Drive). It's never gotten anywhere close to that in the 36 years I've lived here, and I doubt it ever could because of how wide the river valley is through town.

Having had the opportunity to meet with Matt and discuss some issues past and present, I came away convinced we are in good hands. Others more directly involved with athletics had told me they really liked him, but past interactions had me doubting. Now I can proudly say, I agree.
