Progress is coming along nicely on SDSU's new stadium. They've got a webcam here: http://danajdykhousestadium.com/multimedia/web-cam/
You can see that the new giant scoreboard is up now, built by Daktronics (for those that don't know, Daktronics is one of the largest, if not the largest, scoreboard/video board companies in the country with installations at the majority of professional sporting venues and a ton of college and HS locations....and they're headquartered in Brookings).
It's going to be really nice when it's done.
EDIT - they're testing out the video part of the board right now, here's a screenshot in case it's shut off when you check it out:

Does anyone remember when "picture in picture" was a thing with TV (way before DVRs) out cute little video board is the small picture in the lower right hand corner of SDSUs video board.

Pretty much....here's a visual comparison:
SDSU's board is 3 times as wide and almost 4 times as tall.

So, essentially, their video board is as tall as ours is wide.
To be fair, it is the largest video board in the FCS and Daktronics is located in Brookings, so they have a pretty good local connection. And they have a lot more money, both in private donations and in support from the state, than we do.
Ours: 256 square feet
Theirs: 3100 square feet

Supplying a video board to university is nice for football but even better than that is what Daktronics does for the local students. That little stipend of $10K comes in pretty handy and the work experience looks damn good on the resume.
