Time for the TE’s…
We have 8 Tight Ends on our roster currently, none of them Seniors.
#39 Larry Harris - Junior from Rock Island, IL
#40 Frank Santoro - Junior from Oswego, IL
#83 Cole Griffin - Junior from Yorba Linda, CA
#89 Taylor Hill - Junior from Rochester, IL
#88 Scott Simpson - Sophomore from Naperville, IL
#81 Ben Arnold - R-Freshman from St. Louis, MO
#84 Pete Swenson - Freshman from Mason City, IA
#45 Tyler Slamans - Freshman from Sugar Grove, IL
It’s kinda hard to look at stats for certain types of players (like TE’s) because at this level, they’re so often utilized more for blocking, with only occasionally being called upon to receive. The Leatherneck TE’s with playing experience (at Western) so far are: Larry Harris, Taylor Hill, and Scott Simpson.
Harris played in 11 of the 12 games last season, playing on both offense and special teams.
Hill started in 10 games last season. He had 7 catches for 52 total yards.
Simpson played in two games last season.
I’d love to hear you guys’ thoughts on the TE position. Should we be using them for receiving more? Are they doing just fine as-is? Do you think anyone is going to blow up this season (is the next Gronkowski hiding on that list somewhere)?

Would love to see the TE's catch 25-30 balls this year. Think it would really open up the offense. Looking forward to a great year.
