While all of MacMurray's outreach on behalf of their students is to similar private colleges, let's hope Western is making direct contact and guaranteeing 1:1 transfer credit as well.ST_Lawson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 4:03 pm Just found out that MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL is going to be closing permanently as of the end of this semester: https://www.mac.edu/closure

Really sad I would guess 174 years old is one of the oldest in Illinois. One of my best friends is the women’s basketball coach.

Too bad. Judy Collins was a student there for a while. Maybe its where she got the inspiration for this one:
UPDATE: After further review, the song is actually credited to Joni Mitchell although Collins appears to be the first one to actually record it.

Embrace the pace of the race.
Judy Collins is listed as one of MacMurray's famous almuni.
Interesting note about MacMurray: It was an exclusively a women's college until 1955, when the trustees established MacMurray College for Men as a coordinate institution. In 1969, the colleges were reorganized into a single co-educational institution.
MacMurray alumni include two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole; former baseball major leaguers Mark Clark and Bill Sampen; Pulitzer Award-winning journalist Raymond Bonner; singer Judy Collins; former NFL kicker Olindo Mare, and actor Rick Hall.

Just saw a release WIU put out in regards to welcoming MacMurray students to transfer to WIU. Good first step.Tere North wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:40 pmWhile all of MacMurray's outreach on behalf of their students is to similar private colleges, let's hope Western is making direct contact and guaranteeing 1:1 transfer credit as well.ST_Lawson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 4:03 pm Just found out that MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL is going to be closing permanently as of the end of this semester: https://www.mac.edu/closure
