Coming into this as a sizeable (-19) underdog. Lets see if we can improve on our shooting a bit from last game and that might keep it closer.

SMU has an interesting history. Football program was shut down in late 80s for 2 years for recruiting violations. Maybe the most impressive notable alumni list I have come across. They are no longer affiiliated with the Methodist Church - cut ties with them in 2019 over squabbles regarding handling of the LGBTQ population. I wanted to check out their campus for a hoops game while on a FCS championship trip a few years back. IIRC, my feet were frozen from the football game and I spent the evening in the hotel hot tub instead. Fast forward to today, it is reported that the Mustang football and hoops players make $36K a year in NIL money. Not too shabby and far from nil.

Embrace the pace of the race.

According to the box score, Kalakon had 8 minutes and KJ had 11. jc

Still up in the air about the team this year. Some of the newcomers have looked good, but disappointed in how Q and West have played so far. Will need both of them to step their games up if they want to be competitive this season.bignecks wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 8:38 pm I still came away from this game feeling fine about the team. It looks like we're going to be a defensive team this year. And very physical.
