The women are now 3-1 overall, following the OT loss at Iowa and an absolute dismantling of Chicago State by 38 points.

They have three games on tap for this week.

Tuesday, November 24th - home vs the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks
SEMO is 3-1 overall as well, with a season-opening loss at St. Louis University (67-52), then wins vs Harris Stowe of the NAIA (78-66), at Alabama A&M (69-58), and home vs UMKC (78-65). SEMO was picked to finish last in the conference in the OVC preseason poll. They are the 2nd of 3 OVC teams that we will play this year, having defeated preseason conference #1 SIUE earlier this season and taking on preseason #9 Eastern IL on 12/2. SEMO averages 69.3 ppg and gives up 64 ppg. Gametime is 11 AM and this is this year's Elementary Day, so there'll be about 1,000 noisy elementary school kids making up crazy cheers and stuff.

Friday, November 27th - away vs the Towson Tigers (at the University of North Florida Classic in Jacksonville, FL)
Towson is currently 0-3 with losses to Rider University (78-72), George Mason (88-76), and Coppin State (81-69). Towson is picked to finish 5th in the CAA this season. They are averaging 72.3 ppg and gives up 82.3 ppg. Game is scheduled for 1 PM.

Saturday, November 28th - away vs Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (at the University of North Florida Classic in Jacksonville, FL)
BCU is 1-3 on the season with a loss vs Brown (68-61) and Miami (55-47), a win over Western Carolina (66-59) and a home loss vs Stetson (62-38). The Wildcats were picked to finish 6th in the MEAC this year in the preseason poll. They are averaging 53 ppg and give up 61 ppg. Game is scheduled for 1 PM.

At Western Hall now. Crowd filling up. South stands mostly full. 3 1/2 sections of North stands full. Plenty of kids still coming in.

Women having a hard time getting shots to fall. Starting to come back a little. Down 27-21 with 7 minutes left in first half.

Heated up a little near end of half. Best play-by-play call of all time: "Actually it is not a foul. It was a kid screaming and I thought I heard a whistle". LOL

I realize we're good at hitting 3s, but it kinda seems like that's all we do. It's good when its working, but there were some stretches of 3-4 possessions where we didn't end up with any points because they weren't going in and then not getting rebounds because they were all out at the 3-pt line.

Did make up the difference from earlier, up 38-36 at halftime.

JD's halftime speech should be "It's elementary. Just hit the 3s".

#3 for SEMO is really quick. They're having trouble keeping up with her.
