I had been getting the impression after WIU gave the game away to YSU...the team went into playoff mode as in "do or DIE" for ISU and SDSU.

That one hurt, but it seems like after the complete embarrassment at NDSU is when they figured things out. That's when they had the players-only meeting where it was reported that everyone essentially owned up to their mistakes and really took "ownership" of the team's failures and successes. They came back refocused and on of the articles, said they went back into practice like it was Day 1, trying to get back to the basics.

5Dimes currently has the game listed at a 17.5 point spread with a over/under of 52.5. So they're predicting about a 35-17 win for us.
Massey has us listed as having a 87% chance of winning, projected score of 34-17.

I'm not looking past Dayton. However, I can't help but wonder how SDSU feels about being sent to the hostile playing conditions at Wash/Grizz Stadium playing perennial Big Sky heavyweight MONTANA and we take a bus ride over to Non-Scholy Dayton to play some parking lot football?

Yea, that's a BIG step down from what they thought they were going to get when they were assuming they'd beat us...a top 8 seed, first round bye, and second round home game. Now they have to go to one of the toughest places to play in the FCS in the first round against a team that knocked of NDSU to start the season, and IF they get past that, they have to go to the Fargodome and take on the Bison.

Meanwhile, we do have to (get to?) play on the road in the first round (in a playoffs that I honestly didn't think we'd be in up until the selection show), but in a game where we are favored to win by the highest percentage of any of the first-round FCS playoff games. Can't sleep on Dayton, gotta go out there and play like we are capable of, but if we do that, we should win fairly easily.

Doesn't seem like much of a fair draw for SDSU...then again...if they wanted the top 8 seed, shouldn't have lost at our place.

Also, that crazy stadium over at Dayton....SOOO MUCH PARKING LOT!
They share the parking between the football stadium (which the local school district actually owns) and Dayton Arena, home of Dayton's BBall teams, as well as many early-round NCAA Tournament Games, and (how I know it best) the longtime annual site of the Winter Guard International World Championships. If you're going to the game, I doubt that parking will be a problem.

I dated a girl from Dayton in between my high school honey and my wife. She was a Miami coed! Drove to see her from Chicago twice and Macomb twice. She lived on the other side of the river on Ridge Avenue! Took me to see the stadium on one visit. Anxious to see how things go tomorrow! Play-off magic is in the air! ;) jc

Ps. The statement above may seem a bit cheesy, but when I coached basketball tournament time arrived as the spring thaw arrived. I took my teams out to the flag pole in front of the school and told them to breath deeply, that what filled their nostrils was tournament air. Sound, smell, the senses are truly important when it comes to results and memories!!!!
