GDT @ South Dakota
I still would like to know what the deal with Tyson Reynold, he wasn't mentioned in the story about injuries, but I assume he is redshirting. He played in some games so it almost has to be a medical redshirt. As it stands now, looks like they only have 2 scholarship to give out next year and one is spoken for.
South Dakota State beat IUPUI in this afternoon's game 63-56.
Attendance at IUPUI's new arena (Indiana Farmers Coliseum) was 1,386.
Seating capacity of the new arena is 6,800:

That two limit MIGHT be a bit fuzzy. If the following link is true then conceivably we could have more than two next year if our incoming freshmen are intellectually talented enough to qualify for an academic scholarship or any of our players qualify for enough federal or state aid. I am not sure that Reynold is on scholarship. Gut tells me he is not because he was announced as an "addition" to the roster and not a "signee". Pardon me if I am wrong, would not be the first time and won't be the last.meganeck wrote:I still would like to know what the deal with Tyson Reynold, he wasn't mentioned in the story about injuries, but I assume he is redshirting. He played in some games so it almost has to be a medical redshirt. I'm guessing Reynolds is on scholarship. The below link seems to be a good point of reference. Looking back he and Batish were announced the same day of May 22nd, which may have been the last day of the signing period (May 20th this year) or they had them in and there was a hold up announcing. Might have been the case for Jalen Morgan as he wasn't announced until 6/16 and he looks to be on scholarship.

If you look at the main WIU page, you'll see James Claar has verballed.
I too am confused why no mention of Reynolds on the injury list, if that is the case. Believe the cutoff for Medical Redshirt is less than 20% (saw some forms at 30%) of the games and requires a documented injury. The 5 games played puts him just under the threshold.

The counter/non-counter/recruited/non-recruited rules are very confusing. This helps to clarify them somewhat:letsgonecks wrote:I'm guessing Reynolds is on scholarship. I also read some rules regarding Walk-ons. Apparently up until recently, walk-ons had to pay for their own food items from the team training table while scholarship athletes imbibed at no cost to them. Only the NCAA could come up with this stuff. The rules read like the US Tax Code.
