Sinking a few threes will cure any hangover. In about the time it takes to chug a beer, we went on like 19-2 run to end the half.

Have been in this situation before as a coach. You just keep things moving and players rotating and before you know it, you have a 16 point lead. But remember, these are college kids and you can never be quite sure how they will react. ;) jc

Thank God for Google. I embarrassed to say I had no idea where the "nail" on the court is. ;)

So strange watching Western actually go for an extended time with non-starters. Mo never had the numbers to do it.

Games like this, score does not matter. What does matter is guys just playing team concept ball and having fun doing it. Looks like they succeeded on both fronts.

Western wins 94-57.

Attendance was posted as 1,065. The crowd looked to be larger and probably included a lot of people who had stayed over from the Women's game.

you make your own numbers.mo had plenty of numbers,he just was TOO SCARED TO PLAY HIS BENCH AND GET THEM EXPERIENCE.heck he would have had fuller on the bench because of turnovers and wiu would have lost without his 20 pts.

Mo didn't need to sub 'cause the game was so deliberately slow, no one was even close to being winded.

It is not about whether a player is winded and needs a rest. It is about getting substantive playing time to improve a kid's skill set and confidence level. You are right about the slowness of the Mo style though and that tends to keep the games a little too close for comfort at times. Cubsflag, you are also right. Mo had a "one TO and done" philosophy that always bothered me. But it really does take courage for a coach to sacrifice a win or 2 during the early stages of the season in order to give everyone some quality minutes. You just don't see it much these days. In fact, the NC State coach used 8 players against William and Mary the other night and ended up getting whipped so whats the point. Regardless, the kids need to know that reality sets in when the conference games kick in and only about 8 or 9 of them will become the "goto" guys.
