Run the ball dominate the line MVFC style and YPU win this game. Then feel free to call NDSU coaches for all the pointers on beating ISU RED

It's no secret we haven't been great at blocking the defenders on kicks (119th in FCS), with another one nearly costing us the game last weekend. They seem to be pretty good at knocking down kicks...I don't know if they've got a fast guy or two around the edges or a couple of tall "middle" defenders who can really get up and knock down anything that's even remotely low. Special teams have been our weakness and we need to play better at that aspect...otherwise we could be looking at a closer game that most of us expect.
Ain't that the truth. I bet it felt good to finally add the FCS playoff logo to the pregame break down. This is awesome!!

Expect an even lighter crowd than might be expected from Dayton 'cause Archie's guys and probably quite a few fans will be with me in Orlando this weekend. Saturday is an off day for basketball, so it is possible some might head back north for it. I have even looked around for a nice fare to go up and back down but have not found anything yet. My Saturday will probably be spent in Jacksonville watching JD's gals play BB while tuning in to radio broadcast.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Ben Marth mentioned on twitter Norvell's Questionable and will get some snaps in practice, but McGuire is starting.

This could be tough, I'm not sure what you do if we beat Dayton. I'd like to see McGuire get a shot at ISUr.
First to admit I'm no doctor, but I would think that you'd give McGuire the start and only consider playing Norvell if you have to. I realize appendectomies are not as debilitating for as long as they used to be, but on the other hand why take a chance at him getting hurt from a tough hit or something?
I'm not even on the page of talking about who will be top dog next year - I'm just thinking the more time we give Trenton to heal, the better it is for both him and the team. He obviously loves to play football, so let him get completely healthy and come back in the spring.
Just my 2 cents worth....

I'm sure Nikko's ankle is still sore, but won't hold him out. Have no idea on Moore, but it looked like it could have been serious.
Again, I hate to overlook Dayton, but I'd game plan to use our small backs earlier in the game and see if we can be effective. Limit Nikko unless we're having trouble moving the ball.
Hopefully generate an early lead and give Nikko more time to get to 100%. Unless he's more or less already there.

Anybody come across a "message/fan board" for Dayton?
Wondering how they feel about this match up and what their chances are?
