Update to Dayton's coach's playoff experience from a user over at Dayton's message board:
Yes in terms of FCS playoffs they have no experience, considering the PFL has only had an auto-bid for 3 years that isn't surprising. But a little Flyer history that could be shared with the WIU nation, UD has had plenty of NCAA playoff experience especially our HC (who has been with the program since the mid 70's) when they competed at the DIII level. Two national titles ('80 & '89), 11 Playoff appearances from 1978 - 1993, National Runner-ups in 1981, 1987 & 1991. Fun fact, the NCAA has a rule known as the 'Dayton Rule' that stops teams from having a DI Basketball team and a DIII football team.
The "Dayton Rule" was put into place to prevent schools from being in different divisions for different sports (and is the reason that the Pioneer League exists). It is so named because of Dayton's 1980 Div. III national championship win of 63-0...the NCAA decided that schools that play Div. III for football but Div. I for other sports are at an unfair advantage to full DIII schools.

So, both HC's in this game have playoff and championship experience at lower levels (both have 2 championship titles), but this is both coaches' first playoff games at the DI level.

Rough start for the offense - sacked on first down then a missed throw on third down. No harm, no foul, though.

The weather is going to make it very tough to throw. Western needs that running game today.

This offense doesn't need to get tricky. They are bigger and stronger up front on a rainy day. Run the ball, coach.

Some Power I with Nikko up front would be nice. Getting tired of saying it though.
Embrace the pace of the race.
